thorium

[edit]

The two projects would have made a big impact if this would be more than a advertising. There is no credible thorium project behind this, sorry. --22:27, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

I must respectfully disagree. While the article on Laser Power Systems is certainly a bit of fluff-and-stuff, the work done by Cadillac and the WTF is true and verifiable.

Cadillac produced a concept vehicle in 2009 using thorium as its propulsion. The vehicle was called the Cadillac World Thorium Fuel Concept. The vehicle affectionately became known as "the WTF".[1]

This project is not vaporware; the car was actually produced (albeit a concept car). So your comment that there was no credible thorium project behind this is incorrect. I think the WTF team at Cadillac would respectfully disagree. I will re-add the quote above, and leave out the article regarding Laser Power Systems, per your suggestion. However, please understand that the section of the article was "Existing thorium energy projects" and the Cadillac project definitely qualifies. I personally believe that the Laser Power Systems project also qualifies because it was a project that did exist, but since it's not truly verifiable beyond the magazine, I will leave it out.
